Family picture number tres

It's rare that I get a family photo because of obvious reasons. We were lucky enough to have some spare hands around to snap a picture of the 3 Amigos (2 Amigos+ 1 Amiga). Tomorrow is Cole's official FIRST BIRTHDAY, I will post new shots then, of his cake eating, etc. I am a bit quirky when it comes to making things "official" and I don't want you to see them until his actual birthday, even though we rang it in a bit early. I can't believe he's 11 months and 351 days. All of you with grown kids remind me how quickly they grow up, I am confident that this next year must go by slower than last....

One more thing

Before I close it down, I had to come write 1 more thing. I have a guilty pleasure: staying up late. This isn't a good habit because of the hour I have been getting up! This makes for a long and sometimes, cranky day! So, as I'm about to turn in for the night, I went and gave Cole a kiss, then went into my room. It was amazing how much Cole and Marc look alike when they're sleeping. The 2 of them were even in the same position tonight. If my camera were nearby, I might take a pic, but then again, I don't want to disturb my princes. Tonight, I am entirely grateful and reminded about the small things that make my heart happy. Especially when they're moments of peace like a sleeping baby.

Bruises are proof of hard work

Ok, I'm using this as a total way to not do what I should be doing! I have been running around my house lately quite crazily. Not only have I gotten a bug to rearrange furniture, I also managed to paint my bathroom and bedroom (I cheated and had the bedroom done, I couldn't possibly do both in a week!). I have also been very accident prone this week and look like a walking bruise. Whenever I get these urges, I find myself getting all banged up. The first accident started when I was cooking last week. I had just gone to a wonderful, fresh produce stand. I bought a colorful variety of fresh veggies and was making cornbread to accompany the dinner. After carefully taking the iron skillet out of the oven (knowing full-well, it was hot) I let it cool before cutting it. When I finally cut it, I reached for the handle and grabbed it (yes, with no pot holder or any barrier of sorts). Needless to say, I burned the "you know what" out of a few fingers. After shouting a few R rated words, I managed to call a friend (thankfully a doctor, too) who called this amazing cream in for me (and some pain killers!). A week later, it's looking good. I am going to call the cream, "magic cream" because it truly saved my skin. And, I believe it kept my fingers from falling off.

So, I am showing you a family picture because I haven't posted one yet. It's not the best one, but it will work for now!

Meanwhile, back to being busy. When my room is totally done, I"ll post a pic. Aren't you excited?

Back to bruises.

Father's Day

Here is a cute picture of Marc and Cole, celebrating fathers day! Marc likes putting Alabama hats on him and dressing him more "boyish" than myself. We had a fun day, ate at Monelle's with all the fathers. For those of you not familiar with Monelle's, it's a wonderful, family-style dining experience. The food is highly fattening but quite yummy. It's one of those places you eat and are full for a week. Happy fathers day to all the dads out there.

At Nana's and Papa Ron's

We're at Nana's learning how to put away dishes. It's so fun, I love plastic. Mommy is also trying to show Nana how to put pictures on her computer, that's why we're playing here today!

Chubby cheeks. Mommy wants to chew on them...so do strangers, but she won't allow that. Mommy also loves how I tuck in my bottom lip. Man, I'm cute.

Lately, I have been getting really mad when Mommy doesn't let me crawl under the computer. I love playing with the wires, which isn't a good thing! Mommy needs to go to Babies R Us and buy that gate that will keep me from getting under there! My great-Mema bought me this outfit when mommy was pregnant and Mommy thought it would never fit me. I also love to hold my passy when I"m sad... just thought you'd like to know.
