Just for Anne Marie

Here you go, thought you'd want to squeeze me through the screen!

Mommy loves my outfit

For those of you who know me, I love clothes. I have always loved buying clothes. I have been a bit out of the "fashion scene" when Cole came along and my interests started showing up in his closet. I have so much fun buying for him! This is one of my favorite outfits. It totally screams southern little boy! Smocking, bubble, collar... and I will not be able to put this on him much longer. Just thought he looked cute today and I had to share.

11 months today...

Cole is eleven months today. Here are some pictures that show what he's been busy doing lately. Is he not the cutest thing you've ever seen?

New favorite: printer buttons and paper.

So much fun. I have a million toys, but prefer this!

Recipe for a good night's sleep:

1 warm bath

Cool PJ's (love my bug jammies)

spiky hair

a minute with my favorite toys

After nap today. Crazy hair.

Baby mine..

A bitter-sweet feeling fills my heart today. Cole is officially getting older, and today, I am realizing that. Cole is eleven months old today. I truly can't believe it. Strangers who I meet in the store frequently stop and remind me of the quick passing time and how I will blink and he will no longer be a baby. Today, that reality is hitting a little closer to home! He is at such a fun age. Just this week, he started pulling himself up on toys and appears confident while standing. He is all smiles, giggles and striving to be independent. I am thankful today to have watched him grow and be the sweet little man he is today. To think that in 1 month, we will celebrate his 1st birthday is absolutely mind boggling!

Time For New Photos!

We have been busy lately getting over colds! Cole ended up having his second ear infection, which we think is pretty good for him being almost 11 months. He is getting around a lot quicker and is incredibly confident while crawling. We've noticed how he enjoys going from carpet to wood and goes back/forth. It's funny to watch and amazing to know he's learning so much every day! Here are a few pics to curb your appetite.
Sunday morning breakfast at Puckett's...one of our local faves. Cole enjoyed their marvelous buffet, accompanied with his normal mushy breakfast.

Look at me learning to pull myself up. I struggle a little on this toy because it rolls when I push it!

A couple weeks ago, after his nap, I was shocked to see Cole sitting up in his bed! I had to grab the camera. I also tried to be incognito, failed at that.

Daddy and Cole before bed. Love the fohawk.
I like this picture because it looks like he's thinking about something really important. Or, maybe not.

First days crawling, motivation to make the door stopper make its noise. Must be incredibly fun because every time he sees one, he gets short of breath and rushes right toward it!

Just a sweet picture, I think.

Sick? Teething? Or just up for some fun?

OK...

Figured this was a good time for an entry. Little "peanut Tepner" is a bit under the weather today and we're currently up waiting for a call back from the lovely "after hours nurse line". Knowing my luck, I"ll be sitting by the phone to ask a question I probably could have answered myself, but need the medical "okay" to proceed. 36 hours ago sweet Cole began with a small dose of the sniffles coupled with a slight runny nose and an appetite for his hands. My first thought.. TEETHING! Weee, teeth would be the most exciting thing because for those of you who don't know, Cole has zero. My take is that Cole has a cold, I'm hoping he doesn't have a sinus or ear infection. He is currently is on the floor playing and appears to be a happy camper. I, on the other hand, am about to fall over! So, what's your guess? Teeth? A cold? or is he just wanting to play with mom and dad on a Friday night?
P.S. it's not easy sitting in a steamy bathroom with a tired child on your lap...

Monday, May 7, 2007

I added the picture of bath time tonight because tonight's bath was an utter nightmare. Not only has Cole learned to crawl, he has learned to sit up from a crawl and it making frequent attempts of pulling himself up, this is all being practiced in a tiny blow-up bath tub that fits inside the big bath. This is a lot for me to grasp... I once had a child (10 days ago to be exact) that would stay in one spot, allowing me ample time to primp in the bathroom, run downstairs to refresh my coffee and upon my return, he would be in the same place, full of smiles. Not any more! Back to the topic of bath time...this is usually a fun time of winding down, lots of cuddles and routine things in our house. Tonight, Cole has figured out that he can do more in the tub! He doesn't want to sit anymore, instead, reaching for the water coming out of the faucet...handling a wet baby who wants to squirm isn't the easiest task. We will try again tomorrow for a successful bath time, or call in the experts for advice! So, I am still coming to terms with having a mobile child, and on top of that, one who flips and turns with every diaper change. The frustrations make me laugh because one day, I will want these moments back. As for now, I can sneak in his room and pray that tomorrow will bring me as much joy as today, even though bath time was hell...

Seriously...

This is a non-Cole post but more of a chance to vent a little (i may do that a bit on this, it is a blog, right?!)
Do any of you like Grey's Anatomy? If yes..keep reading, if No, you may stop reading.
Last night I was very excited to have my usual Thursday night dose of McDreamy. I was utterly disappointed to watch the depressing spin-off (i think) of Addison's life. Lets hope the show doesn't plummet. I want to be optimistic that Meredith and the gang will remain next season but I have my doubts. As for now, I can hope for: not watching George and Izzy kiss anymore (eeewww), counting on Christina to make me contagiously giggle, and drool over McD (sorry honey, you're still my #1).
