The Frog Prince

After his bath, Cole loves to run around with his towel on his head trailing behind him like a super-hero. I remember doing this as a child but instead of a cape, mine was princess hair! I would tie it in rubber bands and pretend to have hair down to my butt! Oh, the days. This towel is my favorite, it's a frog with little buggy eyes at the top and it seems to be Cole's favorite, too. Now, it's a struggle to get his pjs on before bed! I don't know what it is about kids being naked, they must love it!

The newest Clorox

We found this new cleaner and I'm really excited. I have been really into finding "safe" and good cleaners for your home. You should try it, too, and we can compare notes. I also love Mrs. Meyers cleaners, the counter top cleaner makes my whole house smell so yummy and it's so safe and all-natural (I recommend the lemon-verbena)!

You can read about the Clorox here.

Fun Day!

We had a super fun day today with our friends, Brady and Leigh. They invited us to the "Jump Zone" to play. I have often written these places off, thinking they would be more suitable for older kids. I was surprised to find they had the cutest toddler area, with jumpers their size! It was perfect for the boys and they had a blast. Cole even wanted to go down one of the huge slides! We met lots of new Moms and babes, too. It was the perfect outing for such a cold day, it's been cold here in Nashville...brrrr.

Cole really DID want to go down the slide, I didn't just drop him, which might be contrary to what you believe.
PS...Cole is 19 months today! Gives me 5 months to think about his next party!

8 things about Cole...

1. His feet are exact replicas of Marc's and even were at birth.

2. He HATES to have his diaper changed (and always has), screams bloody murder- even though he's been through about 2,000 of them and everything turns out fine afterward.... I'm finding that when friends change him, he's fine...just when Mom and Dad do, does he throw a fit.

3. He loves musical instruments. He plays the tambourine, drums, maracas, triangle and we're working on the guitar. He's having a bit of a struggle with the finger positions.

4. Eating is his favorite hobby. I think he consumes more calories than I do, in a day's time. He is also a great eater and tries anything, the only things he really doesn't like are: milk, bananas and tomatoes. (which, ironically, Mom doesn't like either!)

5. He is a great sleeper- we wouldn't have thought that the first year of his life...but now he sleeps until 9am and still manages to take a 2 hour nap!

6. He loves to read books. His favorites right now are Goodnight Moon and a Cheerios book with monkeys (duh, it has to do with food!)

7. His pacifier is permanently affixed to his mouth. Mind you, the 0-3 month one- (for those of you who know, pacifiers "grow" with kids and you're supposed to get bigger ones as the child grows, he hated this big ones and still likes the newborn ones)

8. He has a contagious laugh that makes me happy.

9. (had to do one more) He wants me to get these boots to keep my feet warm, but they're on backorder until Feb 8...

I guess tagging people is a fun thing to do so, I tag: Summer, Kari, Maggie and Karissa

Not feeling too hot..

Well, I guess my clorox skills need some tweaking. Took Cole to the doctor today to find he has a sinus infection! He had a fever last night and all the other lovely symptoms that include wiping his face 10 times a minute. He seems to be feeling fine, kids are so resilient. His one comfort: his glow-worm. At the doctor, he managed to say "booger" several times to the Dr. (I think I've been saying that too much lately!) So, here we go again! If I manage to stay healthy through all of this, I"ll be amazed!
Good News: we might get snow this week!! Yippee..

Two things I like to do:

I know you've seen a lot of pictures on Cole on his new play gym, he loves it so much that it seems to be one of the only places I can get him to stop for a brief moment and get a picture. As of late, these are his 2 favorite things to do:
1. run around naked (he's only "gone" on the floor once, Marc almost ripped up the carpet)
2. Climb on the couch and run from side to side until he is out of breath
Are you impressed with all of the recent postings? I'm going to do better...promise.

I have to go and disinfect my house once more, Marc is finally feeling better, this might be my last round of Cloroxing.

PRESENTS!

Check out the cool Elmo slippers:
New Ride...he's still a little short to sit and scoot, so he stands over it and manages to ride it all over while standing, it's so funny because he is so proud! He also loves ringing the bell. On Christmas morning, he saw it under the tree and said "BIKE!" it was a pretty priceless moment...

This was an exciting Christmas for Cole! He had no idea what was going on and loved every minute of the chaos. He actively danced on many wrapped gifts and pulled the tissue out of bags. If we would have known he was so easy to please, we might have put a word in with Santa to lighten the load, oh well, Santa did show us that Cole must have been REALLY good this year.

His favorite gifts were: a play gym and Elmo from his Meme, trains and trucks from Nana and Papa Ron, a glow-worm from his Aunt Lara, and CAT toys from Poppy and Lani. His favorite toy was a bike from Mommy and Daddy-It's wracking up miles on the hardwood and we can't wait to take it outside!
