Margarita anyone?

This has officially been one of the longest weeks I've ever had! Not to mention I'd like to write it off as if it had never occurred... Here's a little of what we've been through this week. Feel free to laugh at #1 (I'm just getting to where I am able to laugh) . . .

1. Last Monday (a week ago) I went downtown Franklin to meet a friend. After our time together, I loaded up the car as I usually do, got Cole in his car seat and shut the car doors. Except I forgot that I had locked the doors and my keys were on the front seat! Long story short, the police sent a fire truck and the rescue squad, blocked off downtown Main Street and managed to get my car unlocked. For those of you who are not familiar with Franklin, it is a quaint downtown area with small little boutiques. I believe everyone who worked in Franklin and those just shopping were curbside, watching the fiasco I had created! To add to the mix, there was also a tour bus with elderly folks with huge "Nashville" name tags, who gathered around my car, and one woman began to video tape me with her camera phone and proceeded to interview me about "improvements on downtown Franklin". So, if you see me on utube, please send the link :) Did I mention I was on my way to the first doctor appt. of the week?

2. Still Monday- first Dr. appt (for Cole) showing signs of allergies and asthma.

3. Tuesday- back to the dr. This time, sent us home with the nebulizer. He managed to stay up almost all night having difficulty breathing. So, we decided to go back to the Dr. on Wednesday.

4. Wednesday- Sinus infection, ear infection, still on breathing treatments.

5. Today- Back to the Dr. again, to find an ear infection in the OTHER ear. Got a shot, new antibiotics. Hopefully this is IT for a while!

So, that's what we've been doing! Things have been pretty boring other than this mess. We're still hoping that Cole doesn't have asthma (although it's looking like he does). As for Marc and I, we're ready for the weather to get warm again so we can enjoy being outside (it's 45 today, grrr).

We've been a little busy...

Doing this....
and this..

because Cole has a nasty respiratory "something" (virus and suspicion of asthma).

Nothing new, really

So, we had a pretty normal weekend around here, although Marc's work has really picked up (which has changed our weekend routine). I had an abnormal energy spurt and cleaned out some closets and was embarrassed to see how much stuff went to Goodwill (1 and 1/2 truck-loads, precisely). Among a few of the random things I tossed were: some Abercrombie khaki pants that actually fit normal sized people (have you shopped there lately?), a bunch of linen over sized tops (remember when those were in?) some carpet remnants (yes, from moving 4 years ago), and a bunch of shirts I hoped would come back into style. I organized a pretty large area and am so excited to have this done! It's motivated me to do a few more closets (yes, I still have a lot of stuff to sort).

As for us, we went out to dinner last week at one of our favorite pizza places in town, Cole ate 2, YES 2, slices of pizza. I was a little alarmed and wondered what the aftermath would look like, but all was well. He's now continuing to ask for pizza daily. He is really making us laugh a lot. He's been saying "oh man" when something doesn't go his way as well as adds "..ing" to all of his many words. He loves to sit in our cars and pretend drive and manages to honk the horn a million times. He loves being outside and wants to take daily walks. I'm just hoping the weather continue to improve!

I haven't taken many photos lately, he was in the tub and I thought this was pretty cute.

Easter

HAPPY EASTER!

We had a great Easter and did lots of fun things. Cole loved the festivities and really enjoyed looking for eggs. Fortunately, the Easter Bunny filled the eggs with healthy snacks! I'm sure the eggs will be filled differently next year :) The weather was fantastic this weekend and it was great hanging out outside, today it snowed and was so cold. We're super ready for Spring but staying in gave us some extra time to keep perfecting these egg-hunting skills (seems like all he wants to do now!)

Anxiously awaiting the egg hunt.

I could only get him to stop for a quick minute! Seems like he's always on the go!
This was taken at our playgroup egg-hunt at Crockett Park. A friend of ours had a pretty snazzy camera, got some amazing pics since our piece of crap camera decided not to work again (i realized later the batteries were dead).

A bad case of bed-head!

This morning, Cole had some serious hair issues. It was a huge mess! I couldn't resist getting out my camera and snapping a photo. It took a while to tame, especially because he wasn't too patient while I combed it out.

Here's a picture of the snow we got last week! I'm really enjoying the amazing weather we've had the past few days, I loved the snow, but glad it's nice out!

Pictures Galore

Well, we are glad to be back but thoroughly enjoyed the warm, California weather. We had a wonderful time visiting Lara and Alex. We did a lot of "hanging out" but managed to throw in a few shopping trips, sat by the pool one day, and went to Disneyland! We were excited to stay at the Marriott in Newport Beach where Lara and Alex will be getting married in November. The hotel was recently renovated and is beautiful. My favorite part about the hotel is the Starbucks (yes, an actual Starbucks, not just a counter that serves the coffee), these giant fire pits on the veranda, and a great mall right across the street Cole was a great traveler, he did OK on the plane on the way there but excellent on the way home (he slept for 2 hours!). Lara is in school at the Paul Mitchell Institute and we were lucky to have her treat us to facials while we were there, it was nice that she got to practice on us! We finished up our trip with Disneyland...Cole loved it, as did we and we can't wait to go back, maybe in November! Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Cole is so excited to be running around after being drug around all day!

Cole loved waking up in the hotel and having breakfast in our bed while watching his favorite cartoon (mine, too!)

On the trolley to Disney, doesn't Cole look excited?

Alex and Lara

Cole pulling everything out of Alex's kitchen!

Riding Dumbo, it was SOOOO scary..

Couldn't leave without a pair of ears.

On our deck at the hotel (wasn't too wild about seeing the boys so high up!)

Sitting in my stroller with my wiener hanging out of my pocket (yes, it's a stuffed Dachsund that goes in his overalls!)

We're Home!

We are home, finally, after a great trip to Southern California to visit my sister, Lara! We had a great time, got to do some fun things, and especially had a great time visiting. It's always nice to come home. I'm going to put some photos up soon after I get laundry tackled. I think we're supposed to have a rainy day tomorrow, which might be a good excuse to catch up with blogging... just wanted you to know that we're back!
